December 11, 2003: New American Champion Jade Mist Coastal Cowboy.  Congratulations to owner Tammy Alden (Coastal Shelties).  Jesse was co-bred by Carol Howell, Jade Mist Shelties.

October 28, 2003: New page for Fox Hill Farm.

September 16, 2003: We have moved to "Fox Hill Farm".  This lovely home is situated on 48 acres.  The dogs are loving their daily walks through the fields and woods.

August 10, 2003: Group 1st and Best Puppy in Show on Saturday, then Group 3rd and BPIG for new Champion Shelhaven Counterstrike!  "Striker" is owned by Karen and Bob Henley (Shelhaven Shelties) and is co-bred by us.  He is the second Champion to finish for his dam, Laureate Savannah White.   His litter sister Ch. Shelhaven Pop'n Up At Talisker (Todd and Sharon Foley) finished two weeks ago.  Their sister, Laureate Vanilla Sky will debut shortly.

August 2, 2003: It is now Am/Can Ch. Laureate Explorer, ROMC!  Congratulations to Sandra Ralph on finishing Can. Ch. Tavendale's Trinity, the tenth Champion for Cabot and therefore earning him the ROMC title.

July 6, 2003: U.S. Specialty Best of Breed for BIS/BISS Am/Can Ch. Laureate Fifth Avenue!  Congratulations to Jo Ann and Terry Pavey, Whitegates Shelties.

July 5, 2003: New Champion Laureate Sharrow Chablis!   "Lucy" was BW at DCSSA Specialty, and RWB at the CSSA National Specialty and the CCSSA Specialties in 2002 and 2003.  She was expertly handled by Rachel Pratt.

 July 3, 2003: New Champion Laureate Pavlova!  "Lovey" finished with two Bests of Breed, a Group 2nd and Group 3rd. and two Best Puppy in Group wins!  She is the sixth Champion to finish this year for her sire, Ch. Laureate Landslide.

June 29, 2003: BISS/BPIS Ch. Laureate City Angel wins Best In Show at the Evangeline Kennel Club!  Congratulations to owners Karen and Bob Henely, Shelhaven Shelties!

June 8, 2003: BIS/BISS Am/Can Ch. Laureate Fifth Avenue wins Best in Specialty Show at the DCSSA Specialty in Ontario.  Congratulations to co-owner-handlers Terry and Jo Ann Pavey!!!  At the same specialty, BPISS Laureate Sharrow Chablis win Best of Winners.  Congratulations to co-breeder-owner Margaret Pratt and handler Rachel Pratt!!!

May 3, 2003:Am/Can Ch. Laureate Gabrielle wins Best in Specialty Show at the Canadian Collie and Shetland Sheepdog Association Specialty under judge Tom Coen.  Thanks to Jo Ann Pavey for helping with grooming Gabi.  Best Of Opposite Sex was won by Ch. Laureate Lakota!  Cody was shown to perfection by Rachel Pratt.

April 20, 2003: We had a wonderful time at the 2003 ASSA National in Lansing Michigan and our Ch. Laureate Landslide puppies attracted a lot of attention.  Laureate Landau wins 1st in the 9-12 month Futurity Dog class, Laureate Latera wins 2nd in the 6-9 month Futurity Bitch class and Laureate Pavlova wins 4th in the 9-12 month Futurity bitch class! Also, Can. Ch. Laureate Cadence placed 2nd in the Novice bitch class.  She is owned and was shown by Brenda Campbell, Anamchara Shelties.

March 15, 2003:New photos of Ch. Laureate Landslide.   A special thank you to Rachel Pratt (Bancroft Shelties), for all her help in getting our dogs ready for photos.   Rachel is pictured below with BISS Am/Can Ch. Laureate Louisiana, and Ch. Laureate Landslide (at 15 weeks and at seven months), showing the what it takes to get great photographs of the dogs!
 

March 1, 2003:  While we were unable to attend the PVSSC Specialty in Maryland, we decided to take photos of the puppies we had entered.  New photos of our beautiful puppies Laureate Landau and Laureate Pavlova.  Also new photo of Laureate Latera.

February 9, 2003: Ch. Laureate Landslide's first offspring to hit the show ring in the U.S., Laureate Divinity, wins a Specialty four point major at the Mid Florida SSC!!!  Thank you judge Glenda Henson and congratulations to co-owner Hector Hector!  Diva was shown to perfection by Meredith Maust.

January 25, 2003:  Our beloved girls turn fourteen years of age.  Happy Birthday to BIS/BISS Am/Can Ch. Laureate Starlight Express and her littermate, Am/Can Ch. Laureate Search Party.  A big party is planned!

January 19, 2003: It's now Am. Ch. Laureate Navigator!  Lincoln finished with flare...Best of Breed and Group 1st for a 5 point major!  Congratulations to owner Margie Norstrom.

November 9, 2002: We have added pedigrees to all our dogs pages.  We also have our "winter clothes" on...replacing the summer flowers with winter scenes (vignettes at the bottom of the main pages). 

October 12, 2002: New photos of our beloved Hannah and Sparkle.  These girls are nearing 14 years of age, and look as good as ever!

October 1, 2002:  BIS/BPIS Am/Can Ch. Laureate Laredo, ROMC, (Dallas) loses his battle with bone cancer.  He was a gentleman to the end...a beautiful soul.

July 21, 2002: New Canadian Champion Laureate Lakota.  "Cody" finished in his first three ring appearances, and also won a Group 1st from the classes! 

July 1, 2002: New Champion Laureate Discovery.  "Geordie" is the sixth Champion for his dam, Ch. Laureate Just Imagine, ROMC and the eight Champion for his sire, Am/Can Ch. Laureate Explorer.  Thank you Clarice Matthews and Sherrie Sparling his owners and handlers.

June 21, 2002: New American Champion!  "Tempo" finished today to become the sixth American Champion for her dam.  She is our 21st U.S. Champion.  Tempo is the dam of our stunning young male, Ch. Laureate Landslide.

June 16, 2002: New Champion Laureate Swan Lake.  "Sweet Pea" makes the 5th Champion for her dam, Can. Ch. Laureate Just Imagine (new ROMC)!  "Kendra", in turn, is our fifth ROMC.

April 25, 2002:  Laureate Shelties at the CSSA National Specialty:

** BISS Am/Can Ch. Laureate Louisiana wins Best of Breed at the CSSA (Canadian) National Specialty (over an entry of 103, including 35 Champions)! **

Of the six CSSA Nationals held thus far (every second year since 1992), Laureate shelties have won Best of Breed three times, with three different dogs!

BISS Am/Can Ch. Laureate Santana, ROMC wins BOS, Best in Veterans Sweeps and Best Stud Dog!

BPISS Laureate Sharrow Chablis wins Reserve WB, from the 9-12 month class.
Laureate Swan Lake wins Best of Opposite Sex in Puppy Sweeps, Runner-Up in Breeders Sweeps and second in class to the eventual Reserve WB.
